I'm currently reading The Survival Kit by Donna Freitas. It's a contemporary novel that follows a 16-year-old girl whose mom just died. 

I love the cover, so I came up with this simple nail art. 

I painted my nails red, and then I drew a few lines.

Let me tell you a secret... well, it's not really a secret, but anyways! I LOVE cute bookmarks, but I'm not the type of person who spends money to buy them, so I make my own. :P

I created these first two nearly a year ago. There is this site - I can't remember the name :( - that shows you how to make your own corner bookmarks, so I decided to create these Dexter and Monster bookmarks. Next time I think I'll make a panda and maybe a minion.

I actually copied the "You fell asleep here" bookmark from this site; I thought it was so funny, and couldn't resist creating my own! As for the Eiffel Tower bookmark, I was inspired by Anna and the French Kiss.

I recently read a review by Lily @ Lily's Book Blog where she mentioned the trolls from Frozen. So, I had an idea and turned this cute little troll into a bookmark! The last one is Pucca tormenting Garu; I just love Pucca. ♥♥♥

Last week I didn't share any fan art post because... hmmm... what can I say? I've been lazy. But for this post I have something different to share with you guys!

Ramadan has just ended and as tradition, my sisters and I apply mehndi to our hands to celebrate the day of Eid. So today, I'm excited to show you guys my mehndi!

These mehndi/henna art are recreations of samirasamira's designs. She has an amazing collection on instagram, and I've fallen in love with some of her designs. So, I asked my sister and cousin to recreate them for me; I'm not good at applying mehndi. :P

Today's fan art is inspired by a popular anime/manga UFO Baby (aka Daa! Daa! Daa!).

UFO Baby is one of my all time favourite anime series!!!

A brief description.

Miyu's parents leave for the States to work for the Nasa, and while they're away she has to stay with a long-time family friend, Hōsho Saionji (a monk who lives in an old temple). However, Hōsho soon departs for India, leaving with Miyu alone in the same house with his son, Kanata. When a UFO lands at their house, Miyu and Kanata find an alien baby (Lou) and his sitter (Bau Meow) who looks like a cat/dog.

Fun facts.

First episode. Kanata accidentally sees Miyu while she's having a bath, and she starts hating him ever since. This is actually an anime cliché, it happens in most anime series, but it's so funny.. he he xP

Another fun fact is that Lou can fly, and when he sees Miyu and Kanata he's convinced that they're his parents. So, the three start living together like a family with Bau Meow as a house-sitter.

Today's fan art is inspired by A Series of Unfortunate Events, the movie adaptation of Lemony Snicket's book series with the same title. Although I haven't read the books, I immensely enjoyed the movie. >.<

I didn't know which one to choose, so I posted both. xD It took me a while to draw the sketch because I had to figure out how to recreate the snake scales (and thank gawd, google exists! I would have never learned how to draw it otherwise). I like how it turned out, but I think it looks kinda dull. I LOVE colorful stuff, so I decided to pull out a magic paintbrush, and add a splash of color to it. Just kidding. I don't own a magic paintbrush. I just use photoshop. =D

Movie description:

A Series of Unfotunate Events tells the story of the Baudelaire orphans (Violet, Klaus and Sunny) who are adopted by a distant relative called Count Olaf (yeah, I know. Just like the snowman). The movie follows the three characters, as they work together to escape from the evil Count who persistently attempts to steal their parents' fortune.

Who is Sunny?

Sunny is the youngest of the Baudelaire orphans. She's a cutie pie, and I can't help but smile whenever I hear her talk. Most of the time, you can't comprehend what she's saying because it's really hard to decode her baby talk. :P

Fun facts. 

Well, Sunny is the weirdest child I've ever seen. She has really strong and sharp teeth, and loves biting things. Seriously. No kidding.

This is a new feature that I found out thanks to Kel @ Booked Til Tuesday. I really LOVE fan arts, and drawings in general, so I'm very excited to share what I've come up with. :D

Today's fan art is inspired by Amanda Seyfried's movie Letters to Juliet!

I enjoyed watching this movie so much! It was visually beautiful, and I loved the songs that were used, plus the story was set in Italy. :D
